Qualifying for the America's Cup e-Series, the official e-Sports championship of the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup, is underway.
The first finalist will be qualified during the Weekly Online Final on August 10th, at 21:00 CEST with the event being streamed live on the official America’s Cup Twitch channel. The winner will earn the first spot in the America’s Cup e-Series Grand Final.
The Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup has entered into e-sport with AC Sailing and the first-ever e-sport AC championship will consist of six online qualifier rounds, one per week. Each week the top 8 players of the America’s Cup e-Series Weekly Qualifiers, will be chosen to compete in a playoff final and the winner will earn their place in the America’s Cup e-Series Grand Final, that will take place on September 28th in Barcelona.
On Saturday evening (10th August), the first eight virtual sailors will compete against each other. Coming from all over the world in an online, virtual environment, they will compete for their spot in the Grand Final and get a chance to participate in the €50,000 prize pool plus the chance to sail a real AC40 yacht - World Sailing’s Boat of the Year 2023 - against the winners of the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup.

The Player of the Week in the first Online Qualifier was BenbengFRA, from France, with a total score of 2675 points. He will be challenged by gamers, from New Zealand, Italy, UK, Australia, Venezuela and Scotland,where the youngest is 15 years old and the oldest is 39. All of them have shown that they are truly some of the world’s very best virtual sailors with outstanding knowledge of foiling racing at speed and they are unified in the fact that they all desperately want to win and secure a place in the Barcelona Grand Final.
