CoastWaterSports 2014
Fremantle Sailing Club is a not for profit sporting organisation that plays a key role in the Western Australian maritime community. It is the gateway to the Indian Ocean. An aquatic playground envied worldwide for the unique obstacle free expanse of water and consistent local winds. Home to over 2800 enthusiastic members of all ages, Fremantle Sailing Club is a community dedicated to the ocean.

The current Club site was developed in 1979 and covers 28 hectares of water and 6 of reclaimed land.

It has a proud history dating back to 1897 where it held races between Cutters along the Fremantle foreshore and the main harbour; and 1906 when it conducted the first ocean race from Mandurah to Bunbury.

Strong Activity Sections drive the Club with events for enthusiasts year round, from learning to sail to weekend cruises, world class regattas to diving expeditions, twilight sails to safety training, hooking a marlin to beating a drum. There is an activity for everyone.
